Kelly Osbourne, former enfant terrible of the celebrity world, is growing up and starting to realize that some of the things she’s done back in her “wild” days no longer mean anything for her: like, for instance, her many tattoos.

Consequently, the reality star has decided to have them removed by laser, she says in her column for Closer magazine, as cited by People.

The decision did not come out of the blue, it would seem, since it wasn’t until she actually got to see what it was like without the tattoos that she decided she no longer wanted them.

It happened while Kelly was shooting for her upcoming film, “Should’ve Been Romeo,” and she had the makeup and styling team cover her ink with makeup to shoot some scenes.

At one point, she realized she could really get used to not seeing her tats on her body, so she decided she wanted them off – but not all of them, she says.

“Planning to keep some of the ink that has a ‘special meaning’ – such as a matching one she and brother Jack have with each other’s names – Osbourne is calling the rest a ‘mistake’,” People writes.

She’s so determined to do this she’s already met with her dermatologist to talk about the possibility of having the ink removed.

“I met with my dermatologist and I’ll start the laser treatment as soon as I have time,” Kelly writes in her column, as cited by the aforementioned publication.

“In the firing line to be zapped are the sketch of a keyboard on her forearm and a heart and bones emblem on one of her wrists, she says,” says People.

While Kelly doesn’t yet know when she’ll start the laser treatment, she’s already been informed that the entire thing will take many months and will probably involve a considerable amount of pain.

“While I’m not looking forward to the pain, I’ve heard it hurts less than getting the tattoo. I hope so!” she says with optimism.
