14 DAY TRIAL // Shortly after presenting herself to the police headquarters to be arraigned for slapping a reporter back in August last year, British television star Kelly Osbourne has checked into rehab for the third time. Her mother, Sharon, confirmed for RadarOnline that Kelly was seeking help, but stopped short of revealing what type of addiction she was trying to kick.
“Yeah, Kelly’s in rehab,” Sharon, the “head” of the Osbourne clan told RadarOnline during a phone interview. Literally chocking with tears, Sharon refused to say what Kelly was in rehab for, adding only that her daughter had gotten to a point where in-patient professional help was the best for her.
“What else can we say? She knew that it was the right thing to do at this point, and we’re proud that she did it. The family is all standing behind her. Kelly knew that she needed help and she’s getting it.” Sharon added.
When RadarOnline tried to find out whether Kelly’s latest problems might have anything to do with her oldest addiction to painkillers, Sharon would only say that “Kelly will tell you herself when she gets out,” adding that they, as a family, “just pray that everything’s going to be okay.” She did say, though, that the 24-year-old worked hard up until checking in, keeping busy with dad Ozzy and brother Jack for the new “Osbournes Reloaded” show for Fox TV.
Even if this is Kelly’s third stint in rehab (in 2004, she went to the Malibu celebrity exclusive Promises center, and the following year checked herself into Las Encinas in Pasadena, CA.), this doesn’t make things any easier for her parents, Sharon revealed. “This is one of the absolute worst things that a parent can face, for their child to go through rehab. However, we are all very glad Kelly’s doing it.” the star concluded by saying.
