Reports that Kelly Osbourne and longtime beau, vegan chef Matthew Mosshart, were engaged first surfaced in the media in January. It’s just now that the television personality is confirming them, in a statement cited by People magazine.

Kelly doesn’t offer too many details on the engagement and doesn’t even mention a possible wedding date, but fans should be glad to know that both she and Matthew are happier than ever in their life.

“I have never felt this close to another human being, ever. We're completely in love,” Kelly says.

“People say we're co-dependent but we just want to be together all the time,” she adds.

She doesn’t say that they have just recently gotten engaged and, considering what her brother Jack was telling the media back in February, chances are they’ve only decided now to go public.

After reports of the engagement got out, Jack told People magazine that they were true and that the family was preparing for a big wedding.

“Yes! Kelly is engaged to Matthew, and that will be the next wedding,” Kelly’s brother said at the time, as cited by the aforementioned media outlet.

“I don't think it will happen as quickly as mine did. I think they are going to wait until next summer. But yep, that's the next marriage!” he added.

Since Kelly never said anything to confirm this, it was generally assumed that Jack was wrong.

In the same statement, she explains that she and Matthew are thinking of tying the knot in England, in a ceremony that will include her niece, Jack’s daughter as ring bearer and in which mom Sharon would get to plan everything.

As for the engagement ring, Kelly says, “I designed it to look like an earring that my father wore. I used to hold my finger up to his ear when I was little and say, ‘I want a ring like that.’ Now I have one!”
