The other day, legendary singer Etta James passed away at the age of 73. Since then, celebrity tributes have not ceased pouring in online – but also live, on stage. Above is a video of American Idol winner Kelly Clarkson performing “I Would Rather Go Blind” as part of her tour stop at Radio City Music Hall.
As always, actions speak louder than words: Kelly is honoring the iconic singer through her music, the legacy that will live on forever.
“This isn’t ‘At Last’ because everyone really covers that and so I wanted to do my favorite, actually. My favorite song is ‘I’d Rather Go Blind.’ So, this is for Etta!” Kelly told her fans before launching into the rousing rendition of the song.
