Before making a name for herself as an established actress, Kelly Brook was for a very long while known only for her television gigs and, of course, for being a lingerie model. Her figure made her internationally famous, with Brook even saying that she would never go under the knife to “improve” her looks, or put herself through strict dieting to become excessively thin. She maintains her outlook on curves, as her latest interview with the Daily Mail reveals.

Brook, they say, is the closest thing to a real woman in the modeling world. Though, as a rule, curves are almost completely absent in fashion, Kelly somehow managed to draw the lucky card, having been repeatedly acknowledged for her beauty by being named, what else, the most beautiful girl in the world. She now says her focus has always been – and will always remain – that of staying healthy no matter what people are saying of her.

“You need to make what you’re blessed with work for you. It’s so important to learn to love yourself. I look after my body. I like to go for a run, to get my blood pumping. I always feel energized after I’ve done some exercise. I like cycling and Pilates, too. And you won’t see me falling out of nightclubs in a sorry state. When you are in the spotlight, you can’t get really drunk or make a fool of yourself, but then, I don’t feel the need to be the centre of attention. I get enough of that anyway,” Brook says when asked how she cared for her enviable shape.

Real beauty comes from inside, the model and actress goes on to explain. Beauty also means acceptance and learning that things will never be like we want them to. Kelly, for one, would never strive to be as thin as other women in showbiz, she says, for the simple reason that she knows for a fact that not all women are shaped the same. She, for one, was meant to be curvy and will always be like that, therefore starving herself would be completely useless. Kelly Brook chooses health and a positive outlook instead.

“I’m not a binge eater, but I don’t deprive myself of anything. If I want chocolate cake, I’ll have some. There are some actresses who are much too thin – it doesn’t look healthy. I’ve never felt a pressure to look a certain way. I’ve always embraced my curves and my fat bits, and tried to make them work for me. However you’re built, you need to learn to live with it, otherwise it’s torture. I have a really healthy relationship with my body. The love of a good man helps, too,” the star further explains.
