14 DAY TRIAL // As the attention of the world turns to the recent premiere of “The Legend of Hercules,” Kellan Lutz sees the rumors of him dating pop singer Miley Cyrus gain new momentum. The two have been paired by the media for a while now, though both have vehemently denied the rumors. The “Twilight” actor confesses at the premiere of his new movie that he and Miley are just friends.
“For Miley, I've been friends with her for six years now and we run in the same circle. It's always interesting when two public figures who might be single are seen together. Oh, let's start a rumor that they might be together. I just laugh it off,” he says.
And despite the age difference between the two, Kellan says that he actually looks up to Miley. “She's an amazing girl and she has a great head on her shoulders. I love hanging out with her because she is who she is and she's such a shining star. I'm just focused on work but I'm happy to be friends with her,” he explains.
The rumors that the actor and the singer were an item were sparked at the beginning of December, when they were spotted getting off a private jet separately, after a couple of days vacationing in the Caribbean.
Though Lutz was the first to shrug off the dating rumor, the two were again seen partying together in Vegas, after the Britney Spears residency show. Miley hosted a bash at a local watering hole and Kellan happened to arrive there casually.
Even if they first partied separately, after midnight, Kellan and Miley joined tables and the two were seen sharing a loving embrace and a friendly peck. The “Hercules” actor is adamant they're keeping everything on a platonic level, not getting involved sentimentally.
For someone who's not romantically involved with Miley, Kellan sure does have a lot of nice things to say about her.
