Keith Richards is rumored to have finally agreed to star as Johnny Depp's father in the Pirates Of The Caribbean sequels.
The famous rocker has previously stated that shooting coincides with his concerts and that he was not up for a double adventure.
According to Disney's officials, guitarist Keith Richards refused to play as Johnny Depp's father in the 'Pirates of the Caribbean' sequels. Seems that, in the end, it all depended on Johnny's charm, who is a good friend of the singer, to make him change his opinion.
Richards, 62, declared that he did once talk with Johnny about this role, and they even tried to create the costumes for the characters, but he doesn't believe it is a good time for him to play in a movie, because of his busy schedule.
"Johnny and I spent a great afternoon trying to get these things (costumes) on. But that doesn't mean I'm doing it. At the moment I've turned them down.
They're shooting while I'm touring. I'd love to do it if there was no hassle, but it would be a side trip. I know what my gig is.
The idea of working for Disney gives me the shivers in the first place," ratethemusic quoted Richards as saying.
But Orlando Bloom, who plays Will Turner in the movies, has let slip that the Rolling Stones star will join the Pirates team.
"We're going to have an appearance by the great Keith Richards", the actor said.
