Keeple has updated its popular iPad app "Flickr Studio" to introduce a major update with features for vacationing users, including an updated upload section, the ability to create and prepare an upload queue, and more.

Dutch Developer Robin van Mourik explains that "[by] combining Flickr Studio app with Apple's camera connection kit, it's easy to send your best photos to Flickr while traveling."

Van Mourik is proud to inform users that their Flickr Studio app now allows importing photos directly from the digital camera, as well as add desired titles and descriptions.

Users can decide who is allowed to see the pictures and who is not, and they can build an upload queue when offline.

“Once you get access to a WIFI network, all you have to do is tap the 'start' button and the queued images are sent directly to Flickr,” Van Mourik explains.

“All of this happens in the background leaving you time to answer your e-mail and working on your travel blog. During the upload, Flickr Studio handles the complex stuff, such as optionally reducing image size and categorizing photos into the right sets," the developer elaborates.

Besides adding new uploading abilities to their Flickr Studio app, Dutch developer Keeple includes a geo-tagging tool that uses Google Maps.

Using touch gestures, fans of Flickr Studio can add geographic information.

Finally, Flickr Studio 3.0 brings information panels that show the context, description, location and other details of the photo users are currently viewing.

One advantage is that users can have the EXIF panel open while browsing photos, in order to see each photo's camera settings at a glance.

"The improvements in this latest update put Flickr Studio a lot closer to our goal of creating 'the ultimate Flickr app for the iPad.',” added van Mourik.

“We are glad to have this new version out just before the holiday season. We're hoping that it'll enable many travelers to share their trips with the friends and family at home," the developer concluded.

Flickr Studio is compatible only with the Apple iPad and requires iOS 4.0 or later.
