There is a variety of issues impacting Internet Explorer 7 on Windows Vista. And the Redmond Company has centralized the prolific problems in a single resource designed to provide assistance in troubleshooting IE7 on Vista.

The Windows Vista IE7 collection of problems involves the inability to surf the Internet, slow browsing speeds and slow overall performance, compatibility based errors, incorrect installations and file corruptions.

In case Internet Explorer 7 cannot display the webpage there are a number of scenarios that could generate the problems from the firewall configuration, to the network adapter drivers, to the installation of Winsock or of TCP/IP protocols, and to the incorrect entries in the Hosts file on user's machine. For all these Microsoft has made available Knowledge Base article 936211.

Additionally, Microsoft is offering guidance on how to optimize and reset Internet Explorer 7 in Windows Vista via the Knowledge Base article 936213. According to the Redmond Company, the presence of add-ins or toolbars can cause unexpected browser behavior. Users may also be required to perform IE maintenance, or resolve conflicting and incorrect settings, or faulty installation issues. This KB article delivers workarounds to mitigate such problems.

For the incompatibilities that impact Internet Explorer 7 in Windows Vista, Microsoft is offering Knowledge Base article 936214. "Issues or conflicts with other software that is installed. The user account is corrupted. The computer is infected by malicious third-party software or by viruses. Configuration settings issues and with compatibility issues within Internet Explorer," are the issues addressed in 936214.

And last but certainly not least, Microsoft focused on file corruption with Knowledge Base article 936212 designed to enable users to repair or restore Windows Vista in order to resolve browser errors.
