At this moment, it's quite clear that the future of almost any type of monetary transactions is online, and that's why the security and
privacy of said transactions is an increasingly important matter. And equally important is the security of our personal data and of our various online accounts (email, various websites, online transactions sites', etc.), since any breach in this area could have some pretty serious consequences. And that's why GuardID Systems has launched a very useful and interesting device, namely the IDVault.

As the name suggests, this in one of the safest ways of making sure your financial data is safe. Thus, the IDVault is a hybrid between a smart card, a password-generating hardware key (or "token") and a USB device, but it overcomes all the disadvantages and problems of the devices mentioned above. Thus, even if it generates a PIN number which the user must remember in order to access the vital data from the device, the IDVault offers compatibility with existing computer hardware as well as with the online services of almost all existing financial institutions.

That is possible due to the smart chip built-in the device which is capable of storing all the login information and use it when needed, via the embedded auto-complete software, but only after the user has authenticated, via the pin code. The IDVault could prove to be a very useful device, especially for the people who have the habit of forgetting their various passwords, pin number or accounts, and, at $50, it's not even a large investment, considering the degree of online safety it offers.

We are just a few, but there are many of you, Softpedia users, out there.
