Or not call herself a singer in the first place

Ke$ha singles out Britney Spears, blames her for not singing live and deceiving her fans

Last year, Britney Spears came under serious fire with authorities in Australia for not singing live on her Circus tour. At the time, it was being said fans should at least purchase tickets for her shows with a “disclaimer” of sorts so as not to be deceived they were about to attend a live show. Ke$ha feels the same, saying in an interview cited by ShowbizSpy singers should sing – and vouching never to mime a song in her life.

According to the “TiK ToK” star, whose second single off her debut album “Animal,” “Blah Blah Blah,” if you go in the business looking to become a singer, you’d better be able to sing live if you don’t want to deceive your fans. Because of this, Ke$ha promises, she will always do her best when up on the stage: and, if she has to dance, she’d rather sound a bit worse than mime her way through the song and pull off the dance moves impeccably.

“I think that’s bull[expletive]. I don’t think that’s fair at all for people who are going to see the show. I think if you are going to be a singer, you should sing. If you are going to be a dancer, you should dance. If you are going to do a combination of the two, you should make it very clear when you are singing and very clear when you are dancing. I would never do that to my fans,” Ke$ha says in reference to Britney Spears and how she once stated she didn’t do live shows because her dance routines were too complicated and demanding.

“No offense to [Spears] specifically but people have asked me before to mime. I have been up at three in the morning for a television show with jet lag but I refuse to mime. It’s treating people as if they are too stupid to realize you are not actually singing. Sometimes it is hard to sing and dance at the same time but I would rather be off and be real and genuine about it to my fans. I don’t want to treat my fans like they are stupid. That is my take on my fans and life in general. My whole record is super-honest. I am really honest. When I am singing I may sound [expletive] sometimes but at least you’ll know I’m singing,” Ke$ha adds.

So far, Ke$ha has been keeping true to what she states, as per ongoing reports. However, some say, she’s still a long way to go since she hasn’t yet been on a tour as extensive as Britney’s Circus – but hopes are high she won’t live to regret her words.
