Ke$ha gets in touch with her feminine side with makeunder for Glamour

We've become so accustomed to seeing Ke$ha covered in glitter from head to toe, rocking yesterday's makeup and blue lipstick, and perfecting the dirty chic look, that it's almost easy to forget she's actually a sweet, pretty girl.

This is precisely the aim of the latest issue of Glamour Magazine: to remind us that, underneath all this rock'n'roll there is a gorgeous woman.

Ke$ha got a makeunder for the mag, which sees her sporting natural-looking curls, even more natural-looking makeup and girlie fashion.

However, the accompanying interview shows that, while the Ke$ha we see on stage might be just a public persona, it's inspired from the real Ke$ha – and she feels the need not to hide it because that would mean lying to her fans.

“My makeup is usually left over from the night before. I’m not really worried about the photographs because if I tell my fans not to give a [expletive] about the haters, then I have to practice what I preach,” Ke$ha says.

She knows she's not perfect but, at the same time, she also knows it's precisely this what makes her so special.

“I embrace the imperfections and celebrate them,” she says.

Because she's such a fan of makeup, even if she can't be bothered to remove it on a daily basis, Ke$ha is coming out with her own line of cosmetic products.

“I’m coming out with my own line. And I found Bumble and Bumble dry shampoo that is like God’s gift. You don’t have to shower. You just put it in and instantly look like the eighties,” she says.

Elsewhere in the very funny interview, Ke$ha also weighs in on the criticism she gets for not being a good role model for young girls.

She makes music and she performs it. After that, it's the parents' job to make sure their kids don't listen to some of her more offensive songs.

“Parents should not let them listen to my music if it’s offensive. I wrote these songs for me,” says the rebellious pop star.
