In her first message to fans since she checked into rehab for eating disorders and emotional issues, pop star Ke$ha said that, while committed to getting back to good health, she was eager to make a “big” comeback. It will have to wait, it turns out.

TMZ reports that, though she initially said she would be only 30 days in the facility, the singer has extended her stay, presumably at her doctor’s recommendation.

As such, she has canceled her spring 2014 tour dates while she focuses on her health. The March and April dates are, for the time being, pushed back to a yet-unannounced date.

Ke$ha is receiving treatment at the Timberline Knolls facility in Chicago, the same place where Demi Lovato also went when she hit rock bottom. She is joined there by her mother, who is getting specialized help for post-traumatic stress.

In a few, very controversial interviews Ke$ha’s mom accused her former manager and her producer Dr. Luke for all her problems, saying they both put too much pressure on her to lose weight, thus undermining her health and her confidence.
