14 DAY TRIAL // Katy Perry is ready for a brand new single from her latest album, “Prism.” After the success (and controversy) of “Dark Horse,” the singer took to her social media to announce her fans what song from the album she'll be promoting next.
In a post that also showed the artwork for the single, the 27-year-old singer announced, “In honor of #TBT may I present the cover of my NEXXXT single.” It's not yet known if this is the official artwork for “Birthday” or just a vintage photo from the singer's younger days.
The photo shows Katy when she was younger, along with her sister Angela, all dressed up in pretty skirts and with bow ties. On top of the photo, big balloon-like letters in assorted colors spell “Katy Perry,” while lower, on top of a birthday cake the word “Birthday” can be read.
In the first version of the photo, Angela's face was blurred out and Katy joked that “IF you would like to see my sisters amazing face/pose get #BIRTHDAY trending to the top & I will UNLOCK the genius with you... Hahahahahaha.”
It seems that she got her wish, because later in the day, she posted the unaltered version of the photo, showing the face of her sister when she was younger.
