The latest issue of Vanity Fair magazine brings what is dubbed the first ever “portraits” of Katy Perry and John Mayer as a couple. From what I can tell, there’s no interview but, worry not, this isn’t just a gratuitous display of affection.

Among the photos included in the spread, all of which are available at the link in the first paragraph, is also the photo above – click to see it in full.

That’s the official artwork of the new single from John Mayer, “Who You Love,” which, you guessed it, is a collaboration with Katy Perry. The song is included on his album “Paradise Valley,” both of which are already available for purchase on iTunes.

Though fans knew that Katy and John were back together within days after they reconciled, and despite the fact that they’ve both given interviews talking of how in love they were, seeing them like this did manage to cause some ripples in the blogosphere.

But hey, at least they’re not riding a motorcycle together, making out, and creeping us out. By comparison, this shoot is pure elegance and yes, Katy and John do make a very good looking couple.
