14 DAY TRIAL // You can't say that Katy Perry isn't fearless. At last night's 2012 Billboard Awards, she put on a bold and amazing aerial show, as part of her live performance of “Wide Awake,” her brand new single.
Lifted off “Teenage Dream,” the song is about falling out of love – and Katy did her best to bring a visual representation of the song with her aerial routine.
While she gets major points for that part of her performance, her voice was an entirely different matter, voices online note.
She was never a brilliant vocalist, but it seemed that Katy was having an off day during the performance – check out the video above and let us know if you agree.
At the same awards show, Katy won the Spotlight Award for having 5 number ones from the same album.
“This is cool! They told me the only other person who’s received this award is Michael Jackson, so I feel incredibly honored to be in the same category – although I don’t compare at all!” she said in her acceptance speech.
