14 DAY TRIAL // Katy Perry closed the MTV Video Music Awards 2013 in style, with a live performance of her latest single, “Roar,” under the Brooklyn Bridge in New York. Above is a teaser trailer for the official music video.
While, as I noted at the time, Katy picked a boxing / Rocky theme for the VMAs gig, she’s going into a different direction with the music video, which is clearly inspired by any of the Tarzan movies.
This is only fitting, if you consider the lyrics.
“Roar,” which is already a certified winner, is the first release from “Prism,” Katy’s 4th studio album.
“Prism” will be out in music stores on October 22 and will include collaborations with Sia Furler, Max Martin, Dr. Luke, Bonnie McKee and Diplo.
The “Roar” video will be out “soon” so keep an eye on this space for when it comes out.
