Though there was a time when she could only dream of one day being as famous as she is today, Katy Perry is already disgusted with the whole fame game, as she reveals in her latest interview with Teen Vogue magazine.

The singer, who is now promoting a new music release, says it's her art what she holds most important in her life and not her celebrity status.

In fact, Katy muses, fame is just a “by-product” of what she really wants to achieve, what she really wants to do for the rest of her life.

“I’m tired of being famous already! But I’m not tired of creating. Fame is, I think, just a disgusting by-product of what I do. It’s quite a delicate creature – it’s a wild animal of sorts,” the star says.

Even though she knows of the pitfalls of fame, she also knows that she must play the game for the sake of her fans, without whom she wouldn't be able to be an artist in the first place.

“It can love you, and then it can attack you. I still want to be as approachable and relatable as possible – when I meet fans and they’re crying, I’ll say, 'Calm down, there’s nothing to cry about. I’m not going to bite you or attack you or grant you three wishes. Let’s just hang out and have a good time',” Katy explains.

“But really, I stopped focusing on what other people think a while ago. If you try to be everything to everyone, you’ll only end up completely confused,” she continues.

In the same interview, she describes her latest release, “The Complete Confection” as a present from her to her diehard fans, who, with it, will get the ultimate Katy Perry.

They're promised the same thing with her upcoming 3D concert movie, which got its first trailer one week ago.

Called “Part of Me in 3D,” it documents Katy's most recent world tour, but also shows backstage footage and aims to offer an unprecedented look into the life of one of the best-selling pop stars of today.
