As Katy Perry is getting ready for the release of her first-ever 3D concert movie, a new video from it has emerged and is making the rounds online. It shows her without makeup, which in itself is something new.

Though she may come across as one of the most confident women out there, the truth is that Katy Perry too has her insecurities, as she admitted in several past interviews.

One of them is that she never be photographed sans fards because she has bad skin and, as per her own admission, she feels “ugly” when she doesn't have her war paint on.

Things seem to have changed in recent months, as the video from her film indicates. You can see it below.

It shows Katy trying out various outfits for the show and apparently being as makeup free as possible.

Given how much of it she piles on for public appearances and knowing her stance on going sans fards, it's no wonder this 16-second clip is making the rounds, getting fans talking.

“I think he taught me a lot about inner beauty and confidence in myself. I don’t really feel pretty ever, without makeup. I feel ugly. And so I would have to sleep with makeup on, or feel ugly and gross,” Katy once said when talking about how Russell Brand made her feel more confident in herself.

“He looks beyond all of that, which is such a win, because I’ve never felt that with anybody. He’s in love with the person inside of me, and the outside of me is just a bonus,” she added, as we also reported at the time.

In another interview, the pop star blasted paparazzi who ran photos of her without makeup as if she'd been caught walking the streets in her underwear.

Not all women look like Gisele Bundchen when they woke up – and she certainly wasn't one of them, she stressed.

“I didn’t really care. I mean, when I go to rehearsals I look like that. I’m every woman. It takes a village to make me who I am…. You don’t have to wake up looking like, you know, Gisele,” Katy explained.
