The clip ties in perfectly with her “California Gurls” era and the upcoming 3D concert movie “Part of Me,” thanks to a very clever opening and ending.
It also shows Katy dealing with fame and learning to get back in touch with her real self, represented here by a young and totally adorable Katheryn.
“I just wanted to tell a story about myself going through this journey, maybe sometimes trying to get out of the maze. There’s good parts, there’s bad parts,” Katy once said about the song.
