Katy Perry is the latest singer to honor the British songstress, singing a few lines from “Someone Like You” during a rendition of her own “The One that Got Away.”
The video was shot by a fan with excellent tickets to the Sheffield stop of Katy’s “California Dreams Tour” and it’s already getting a lot of comments online – and especially on YouTube.
Fans praise Katy for taking Adele’s hit track and making it her own by infusing it with her particular sound, but not ever comment is a positive one.
There are also those who claim Adele is far too talented for Katy even to attempt to cover her song. If so, fans fight back, why are they even watching a Katy Perry video in the first place?
