14 DAY TRIAL // Just how excited is Katy Perry about American football? Pretty excited we'd have to say since she's taken on to celebrate furiously after the University of Mississippi won, as she accurately predicted would happen.
The pop star didn't wait too long before getting into the celebration and she neither had any problems with celebrating with ordinary people. The “Roar” singer went to Funky's a “New Orleans Style Bar located at the heart of Oxford Square,” as they describe themselves and decided to drink on the bar.
Katy was really happy about the win and had no problem with chugging beer on the bar in a local watering hole
A Vine video shows Katy chugging on the bar out of a beer bottle, as other college students cheer her on. She quickly finished off the bottle and tossed into the crowd. Afterwards, filled with energy and excitement, she can be seen jumping off into the crowd, briefly exposing her undergarments, since she was wearing a skirt at the time.
Other people in the bar were chuffed to see Katy getting down and dirty with the rest of them. “Katy Perry is literally at Funkys taking shots on the bar. What is life,” tweeted one eyewitness, while another added “Seeing @katyperry at @Funkys was the highlight of my weekend.”
Perry stayed rather silent on social media about her post-game celebration, but did brag about the fact that she accurately predicted the winner of the game, “CALLED IT #OLEMISS (sic).” Later, she shared a video in which she can be seen cheering with the school's squad called the Rebelettes.
Katy also made eyes at Okhlahoma's quarterback
Katy also made headlines with her overt flirting over the weekend with Oklahoma Sooners Trevor Knight, a 21-year-old quarterback. During her TV interview, Katy straight up addressed Knight to give her a call since she found him hot. “I'm picking this one based on looks. Trevor Knight, do you hear me?” she said before adding “Call me!”
Katy seems to be unaware or simply doesn't care about the fact that Knight is just 21, so 8 years her junior and also has a girlfriend. The press has been keen to find out if Trevor actually followed up on Katy's invitation, but so far, nothing has transpired. His girlfriend must really be nervous at this point.
Knight's team did not win, but Katy celebrated nonetheless, sticking with the Ole Miss fans to make a night to remember. Apart from a slight headache, it's likely that Perry doesn't remember all that much about what happened in the bar that night.
