Comedian Katt Williams has been making a lot of headlines lately for his apparently out of control behavior, but it’s time to focus on the positive again. Proving that he has a heart of gold as well, Williams gave a wad of cash to a fan, to help her pay medical bills.

TMZ reports that the female fan was in the audience at one of Williams’ most recent shows. She is using a wheelchair now and has recently found out that she’s in desperate need of a new kidney.

She didn’t even imagine that she’d leave the gig with $1,000 (€749) in cash, which she could use to cover some of her expenses.

“The comic had just wrapped a show in Boston on Sunday when a member of his security team noticed the woman crying in the audience,” the celebrity publication writes.

Someone approached her to see if she was ok and she insisted she was, explaining that those were actually “tears of joy” because she’d laughed “for the first time since doctors told her she's in desperate need of a new kidney.”

Williams’ bodyguards then escorted the fan backstage, where she got to meet him and, as per the same report, share her story.

“He was so moved by [it], he excused himself from the room, only to reappear moments later with a folded up sheet of paper. When the woman opened up the bindle, she was shocked to find ten 100 DOLLAR BILLS... along with a note that read, ‘God never leaves’,” TMZ writes.

The woman, whose identity is not made public, says for the e-zine that the present was “an awesome surprise.” She also laughs that she first thought that the package Williams came back with was actually of weed.

Considering his recent arrests and odd behavior, it’s probably not that surprising that she’d think that.
