14 DAY TRIAL // Katie Price and Peter Andre are no longer husband and wife, after announcing their separation and going through a divorce that played entirely in the media. The former glamour girl has re-married, having met her true love in the person of her boyfriend of a few months, cagefighter Alex Reid. The latest issue of OK! UK brings an “explosive” interview with Price on family life and how her children call Alex “daddy Alex.”
It’s no secret that Peter Andre agrees neither with Katie’s ideas on raising children nor with her marriage to Reid. Because of this and given the fact that she insists a lot in the interview that, this time, her relationship “is for real,” many have seen it as a not too subtle swing at her ex. Whether that be truth or not, one thing is certain: Katie’s three children (two by Andre and one from a former relationship) are happy with their new dad.
“Harvey likes to know there’s a man about the house. They all actually call him Daddy Alex now. And they call his parents Grandma Carol and Grandpa Bob. Alex is Daddy Alex, and it’s all good because when me and Alex have one, it will be less confusing for them. They don’t just call him Daddy. He’s Daddy Alex,” Katie gushes about her second husband, whom she married in a secret ceremony in Las Vegas. Family life is wonderful right now, the star goes on to say.
“Junior loves it because he’s got a punch bag. Alex changed Princess’s nappy for the first time the other day – and it was a number two! It was funny. The kids get on with him really well and I’m pleased about that. I wouldn’t have married Alex otherwise. They have someone they can look up to in Alex. Alex is my life. And he’s for life. And I think he feels the same. It’s real this time,” Price explains.
