14 DAY TRIAL // Either glamour girl Katie Price and cagefighter Alex Reid are over and on the brink of divorce, or they’re planning something, word in the British media has it. Price has recently stepped out with another man, again prompting talk of an impending divorce.
They got married in secret (more or less) in Las Vegas and then surprised everybody with a fancy wedding reception back in the UK. Their breakup – if the reports are true – seems to also be equally discreet.
In recent weeks, the Daily Mail notes, Price has been repeatedly photographed without Reid and, what’s more important, without her wedding band on.
This added to already circulating rumors about an imminent separation. The two have insisted in previous interviews that their marriage was still going strong – they simply were too busy to be photographed together all the time.
“They have not been seen together in public in recent weeks, fuelling speculation that they are living increasingly separate lives,” the Mail notes.
Since this is a couple that did their best to put themselves on the pages of the tabloids, the occurrence is odd at least.
“But Katie Price did little to quell those rumors when she left her Surrey home on Monday arm in arm with a man – who wasn’t her husband Alex Reid. The 32-year-old was accompanied by her best friend, hair and make-up artist Gary Cockerill, as she braved the snowy weather,” says the tab.
The Mail also notes Katie’s wedding band is missing, though she’s rarely, if ever, been seen without it before. Also missing was her wedding ring,” the tab writes.
“According to her spokesperson she was there for business meetings and a few days of pampering, as well as attending her friend Amir Khan’s Las Vegas fight,” says the Mail.
When she got back home, Reid was not waiting for her at the airport, since he was doing media rounds to promote his upcoming reality show, “I Am Alex Reid,” meant to show the public the real him: he’s more than just “Mr. Katie Price,” he says.
