Katie Price Marries Alex Reid in Las Vegas Quickie

It’s only hours that rumor broke that glamour model and businesswoman Katie Price, once known solely as Jordan, was considering getting married to cagefighter boyfriend Alex Reid this year and the two are already legally wife and husband. On a trip to Las Vegas, the couple decided to tie the knot in a quickie wedding, releasing a press statement to The Sun afterwards to confirm it.

Speculation started to build up that the model was thinking of tying the knot with Alex after realizing that he was, indeed, the one for her. Apparently, his appearance on Celebrity Big Brother, the very last season ever, which he also won, convinced her that he was worthy of her renewed affection, since she had broken up with him only shortly before – and on live television nonetheless. But all that’s in the past now, as the two are now husband and wife and, as per their own statement, looking forward to a lifetime together.

“We look forward to the future together. We can’t wait to get back and celebrate our marriage with our friends and family who fully support our wishes,” the statement sent to The Sun reads. Price’s agent also confirmed the happy news for the same publication, saying, “Katie and Alex are delighted to announce they got married in a private, simple ceremony.”

“The wedding at Wynn Hotel came just days after Alex, 34, emerged victorious from the Celebrity Big Brother house. The couple were spotted shopping for a wedding ring hours before the ceremony. They are staying at the Planet Hollywood hotel in Vegas where rooms can costs more than £6,000 a night. They enjoyed champagne and chocolate-dipped strawberries before being driven 500 yards to the rose-strewn chapel,” The Sun further says of the couple’s surprise trip to Sin City.

What with the ceremony being officiated in front of camera crews, word in the industry already has it that this could be yet another move on Katie’s behalf to keep her name in the press. Far from her the thought, her manager explains for The Sun. Price’s marriage is not the result of a media deal but down only to the love they have for each other.
