Katie Holmes is miserable again in her marriage to superstar Tom Cruise, reports have it. This time, though, it’s not because Tom is too controlling of her life, getting to call the shots at every step of the way, in everything that she does, but rather because he has stopped paying attention to her, which is driving her so mad she’s almost on the verge of a breakdown,

According to sources close to the young actress, who have chosen to remain anonymous presumably not to lose their position with her, Katie has been feeling very neglected lately. Tom no longer spends that much time with her and she often feels more like an accessory than a wife. Furthermore, Cruise is away on business a lot, and she is left alone at home, taking care of their daughter Suri, but she clearly believes he should be more of a husband to her than just by name.
“Katie has become noticeably more miserable in the last few months. She finds it incredibly taxing to lead a life that revolves around Tom.” an unnamed source tells the media. “She doesn’t just want to go to red-carpet events with him. She always feels like she’s competing for Tom’s attention. She’s a devoted mother, but it’s a lonely job.” the same source explains.
Reports also have it that Katie has had about enough of living married life all alone, with friends allegedly terrified she might have a breakdown anytime soon. Her most recent appearances, when she was photographed looking drawn in the face, extremely tired and seemingly having lost her joy to live should confirm the theory, several gossip magazines point out. Still, Katie can’t yet find it in her to end the relationship with Tom mostly because of Suri, whom she believes needs a father figure as she’s growing up.
“Everyone is worried that she’s close to breaking point. Katie spends most days alone looking after Suri. She and Tom have such separate lives.” the same reportedly trustworthy insider says. As expected, a publicist for the couple was not immediately available at the time of writing but, even if he had been, he would have probably refrained from commenting on his clients’ personal life. As fans must know, Katie Holmes and Tom Cruise have been plagued by rumors of this type ever since they first announced they were engaged, so perhaps it should not come as a surprise when it turns out that this report too is nothing but a fictional account of the state of things between the two.
