Katie Holmes hasn't exactly been a regular in film for some time now, but she's making a comeback with this new thriller called “Miss Meadows,” in which she plays the role of a regular school teacher who has some dark secrets hidden and who turns out to be a gun-wielding maniac.

The actress made famous by her role in the series “Dawson's Creek” does a good performance in the role of a school teacher who turns into a dangerous vigilante by night. We see her start out in flowery dresses and petticoats and ending up pointing guns in people's faces, all for the sake of the children.

As people begin asking questions, Katie's character releases her rage against the “bad people” that should live with the “good people, especially little children.”

The film is written and directed by Karen Leigh Hopkins and also stars James Badge Dale and Jean Smart. It was premiered at the Tribeca Film Festival earlier this year and it's supposed to hit theaters across the country sometime this fall.

Initial reviews have been mixed, but viewers agreed that Katie delivers a convincing performance in the role of this weird character which looks like a mixture of Mary Poppins and the Executioner.
