Katie Holmes is probably in the best shape of her life, as magazine photospreads and paparazzi shots available online can confirm. For Life & Style magazine, though, she’s “skin and bones,” and in such a frail shape an intervention may be in order.

Using a photo in which Katie seems to be sucking her tummy in, the mag proclaims she’s “skin and bones,” while also using a yellow arrow to point at her bones, just in case.

“Tom’s worried as Katie drops to her lowest weight ever,” reads a bold headline next to the picture. “Desperate to be skinny,” another one screams – but this one doesn’t refer to just Katie.

Inside, the mag goes to considerable lengths to explain how come Katie is now her skinniest ever and, as Jezebel informs, it’s because this is the only way in which she can still pretend she has some control over her life.

Since much has been said about how Tom Cruise controls every aspect about Katie’s life, it’s really not that much of a surprise that Life & Style is using the same story to explain the actress’ rather recent weight loss.

There’s no denying that Katie has dropped some pounds – but the mag claims it’s much worse than that. In fact, her parents may have to intervene to save their daughter.

“Someone saw her by the pool at a hotel in Miami and says, ‘it was jarring how skinny’ Katie looked,” Jezebel writes in the weekly roundup of the biggest stories in the US tabloids.

“She has zero fat and her ribs are showing, etc. Her parents may need to step in. But Suri is probably the one who will get her back on track, because ‘Suri is the only bright light in Katie’s long lonely days.’ Praise Xenu,” the e-zine further says.

However, Katie may respond to the story that’s basically saying she has an eating disorder. A while back, she sued Star magazine for claiming she was “addicted” to Scientology treatments and settled out of a court for a hefty sum, which she later donated to charity.
