14 DAY TRIAL // Katie Couric is finally making her break in daytime talk show territory. To kick off her new show, “Katie,” she invited a good friend and former collaborator over to lend her a helping hand.

It started with Katie having a very agitated sleep, as thoughts about her career since leaving The Today Show swirl in her mind.
She wakes up and tells her surprise roommate, Matt Lauer sleeping in the next bed, that she dreamed she was starting her own daytime talk show, which, what do you know, was actually the truth.
Later in the show, Katie talked to Jessica Simpson and Sheryl Crow about motherhood, losing weight and battling cancer.
