Some time after Joan Rivers tragically passed away, there was the obvious question of what was going to happen to her television show Fashion Police, which also employed her daughter Melissa Rivers as a producer. It was speculated that the show was going to be pulled off the air, as a sign of respect for the comedienne who made it into what it is today.

Soon after, the network announced that it was going to keep it on the air, with Melissa's blessing. At about this point in time, the first rumors appeared that Kathy Griffin, one of Joan's disciples as it were, was contacted to take her place on the show.

She vehemently denied the rumors, claiming that she would never think to replace Joan, who was her inspiration. Today, TMZ is reporting that the rumors were, in fact, true and that Kathy is going to appear alongside Melissa Rivers, Kelly Osbourne and Giuliana Rancic.

The report did not include the name of George Kotsiopoulos, so his involvement with the show remains under a big question mark for the moment.

The other big change in the show is the fact that Fashion Police will no longer be a weekly show. Instead, the producers want to turn it into the kind of show that airs only on special occasions, such as during an award show.
