Anderson Cooper and Kathy Griffin were in New York to ring in the New Year for CNN but their hosting duties left a lot to be desired as far as the Parents Television Council is concerned. First of all, check out the video above.

Throughout the night, Kathy made constant passes at Cooper and even offered to kiss him down there, which made him giggle nervously and then desperately try to fight her off.

In a statement to TMZ, the PTC says that Griffin has “shown increasing contempt for the audience,” asking for CNN to take action and never hire her again.

“The onus is now on CNN. Either the network has a policy that allows its on-air talent to fondle a co-anchor’s [private parts], or it has a policy that forbids such conduct,” the PTC continues.

Moreover, by allowing Griffin on air on New Year’s Eve, when children were up watching as well, CNN is responsible for their corruption.

Celebrity bloggers, on the other hand, believe that she was simply harassing Cooper – and that the whole thing was in really bad taste.
