If you call me a bully, then it’s clear you’ve never been bullied – this is the message that comedienne Kathy Griffin has for former Governor of Alaska Sarah Palin. A new chapter in the Griffin – Palin feud has just been opened.

It all began a while back, when Griffin made some comments about Sarah’s two daughters Bristol and Willow.

She continued to include jokes about the Palins in her routine and not once made an apology for them, even when other people than the Palins told her she’d been out of line.

Just recently, Sarah Palin told the media that Griffin was a “has-been comedienne” who picked on girls to stay relevant, a “bully” by all counts.

You can see Griffin’s response to that in the video below, courtesy of a brand new interview for ABC’s Nightline.

“If you think a comedian is a bully, what that tells me is you’ve never been bullied,” Griffin says. She then goes on to say a 16-year-old (such as Willow Palin) should know better than to use certain derogatory terms on social networks.

“One time on her Facebook wall she used the f-word which is a pejorative term about gay people, not the swearing f-word which I enjoy, the other f-word which I don’t use. The point is, when you’re 16 you know not to be using the f-word about gay people,” Kathy says.

As for Sarah Palin’s remark that she, Griffin, is a “has been,” the comedienne points out to the irony of pot calling kettle black.

“I’m sorry, is this from the former Governor? She’s not the current Governor? She has-been the Governor? It’s interesting that she has been,” she says.

As for Palin’s next move, Griffin hopes it will be one in politics, to run for President in the upcoming elections. This way, she’ll have plenty new material.

“I really am praying for Sarah Palin to run for anything – local school commissioner, employee of the month at Dunkin Donuts – I don’t care what it is, I just want her to run for something,” Griffin says.
