Katherine Heigl seems to have come out of her corner. The comedic actress apparently became so insufferable on set that no one in Hollywood would work with her. That's why you haven't seen her in any movies for a while now. But she's back with the dark comedy “Home Sweet Hell.”

In this movie she plays the role of a controlling housewife, married to a character played by Patrick Wilson, who is a successful local entrepreneur who gets conned by a woman into having an affair. When she becomes pregnant, she blackmails the naive businessman who then tells his wife.

Heigl's character decides to kill the competitor played by Jordana Brewster in a very nonchalant manner and Don Champagne (Wilson) becomes her unwilling accomplice. This murder will set off a string of misfortunes for the family, as Wilson discovers his wife to be a maniac.

Also in the movie is Jim Belushi, playing a supporting role. The movie is directed by Anthony Burns and has yet to announce a release date. But it does look promising, and it's nice to see Heigl has earned the forgiveness of the industry that had blackballed her for some time. Heigl will next appear in the TV series “State of Affairs.”
