One of the female stars most vocal about the need to stop retouching photos in magazines to a ridiculous extent is Oscar-winning actress Kate Winslet. Ironically, she’s almost unrecognizable on the cover of the latest issue of Vogue magazine.

Kate is always a graceful, stunning presence, whether live on the red carpet / in interviews or in magazines. She’s not ashamed to admit that, contrary to what magazines will have you think, she’s not perfect and often laments this compulsive need with magazine editors to retouch photos until they come up with a caricaturized version of the model who posed for them.

In other words, she’s extremely relatable and lovable.

The Kate on the Vogue cover (click on the image above to see it in full) is, as the Daily Mail also notes, the exact opposite of that: she is flawless, perfect and, perhaps the worst of all, not Kate.

“The 38-year-old's skin looks line and blemish free, with her already piercing blue eyes noticeably brighter as she stares into the camera. Kate's jawline also appears to have been altered, with a soft focus effect finishing to the entire image,” the tab writes.

Vogue also had one of her tow moles removed in post-production. Kate is probably not happy with this.
