The cover for February's V Magazine features the lovely model Kate Upton in a recreation of one of the most notorious actresses of the ‘70s. There is also an interview in which Kate addresses some of the controversies surrounding her sudden rise in the fashion world.

Only 21 years old, Kate is currently enjoying a surge in popularity that has even led her to star in a romantic comedy alongside Cameron Diaz and Leslie Mann. On the cover of V, she looks absolutely stunning and her role as a ‘70s screen icon seems to fit her.

The magazine decided to play it smart and do something different for a change. If you go to its web page, you can see an interesting interactive cover that features a slider. By pulling the slider up or down, you can choose to dress or undress Kate. Not fully, of course.

She also speaks on the controversy regarding Victoria's Secret Fashion Show director Sophia Neophitou, who dissed her and said she looked like “a footballer's wife, with the too-blond hair and that kind of face that anyone with enough money can go out and buy.”

Kate says it taught her a lesson about the industry: “So it didn't really affect me at first. But it did in the end, because I wasn't used to that kind of media swirl at all. I had never met her, so it really came out of nowhere. It was my introduction to being in the spotlight and having people you've never met have an opinion of you.”

The answer to the question “Why can't Kate Upton keep her clothes on?” that's printed in big letters on the cover is answered by the model in a simple and candid way: “Because I don't want to,” she laughs. Not that anybody out there minds.
