Kate Moss, who has recently lost a contract with H&M is said to have finally ditched lover Pete Doherty.The controversial pop star is blamed for Moss's £200-a-day cocaine addiction.

Kate Moss, 31, currently in New York, apologized to family and fans for her behaviour and promised to go through a rehabilitation program, for the sake of her two-year-old daughter, after the revelations in one Sunday paper of lesbian sex coupled with an avid thirst for drugs.

Doherty, 26, went on yet another "bender" in Ibiza over the weekend, while Moss was shown full support from models and designers.

"I think it is awful that she has made such big news, but she made a big mistake in ever getting together with that silly boy", Zandra Rhodes said.

"People should just f***ing leave her well alone. They are just jealous of her," declared one of her priends, Tracey Emin.

"She is a great friend of mine and we recently went on holiday together and I can tell you I have never seen her take the stuff once.

I hate the stuff - I have never touched it and I have never seen her go near it. Kate is professional, hard-working and good at her job. It is not right that these pictures have been splashed all over the place. There are more people in the House of Commons taking cocaine than people in the fashion business", Emin added.

Fashion heiress Francesca Versace, the niece of Gianni Versace, who had known the supermodel since she was a young girl stated:

"She is a lovely girl - she was always an inspiration to me and I have known her for many years. They have invaded her life and it is absolutely terrible. It is awful for her. Nowadays everybody feels they have the right to somebody's private life. Everybody wants to know what is going on and she is a victim of that," she said.
