Kate Moss Not Charged for Drug Allegations

Yesterday, the judge ruled in favor of the model in the case of alleged cocaine use. Last year, one of the most appreciated (financially) women in fashion was involved in a major scandal, based on a filmed footage that showed her making what was supposed to be cocaine lines, snorting them and sharing them with other persons.

The footage was made by an amateur with his cell phone and it presented Kate Moss (32) in her boyfriend's, Pete Doherty, flat in London, while he was recording for his latest rock album. Later on, pictures extracted from it leaked into the newspapers.

Although the evidence was irrefutable, the judge couldn't allow the prosecution of Moss because the court wasn't able to establish what kind of drugs she was actually using. After a police inquiry that is believed to have cost up to ₤ 250,000 and an even lengthier court trial, the supermodel went home free.

Judge and jury couldn't establish if Moss was using cocaine, amphetamines or Ecstasy and had to decide in favor of Kate. We have to mention that the penal sentences for these drugs are different. In view of the fact that both Moss and eyewitnesses refused to cooperate with police officers and to offer any sort of information that might have lead to the elucidation of the case, her record is now clean as a slate. She might have lost some major modeling contracts, but at least she won't ever be labeled as an ex-con!
