Kate Moss has been in the industry for over 2 decades and, though she’s had her fair share of revealing photos, never before has she posed for Playboy. For the 60th anniversary issue, the January / February 2014 one, which coincides with her 40th birthday, Kate is the Bunny on the cover.

The model confirmed the news some time ago, and today the cover is out. As you can see in the image attached to this article, she’s wearing the retro bunny outfit and, yes, the shoot promises to be really classy and beautiful, with an extra touch of vintage to top it.

After all, it was done by fashion duo Mert Alas and Marcus Piggott, whom Kate probably picked herself. Excerpts from the interview have also been released.

For instance, Kate talks about how she, unlike many other stars, doesn’t feel the need to overshare, introducing her fans to every little aspect of her personal life. In today’s world, where if you don’t tweet or blog or Instagram about it, nothing happens, Kate is the – quite refreshing – exception. And she’s always been so.

“I don’t want to hang my dirty laundry out for Hello! and for people to know all the ins and outs of my life… I don’t get why it would be interesting. I’m not that different,” she says.

“And also, now with Instagram and everything, everyone’s so on their phones that even when I’m in a restaurant like this, where you wouldn’t expect it, someone will come up and ask to get a picture with me. I’m like, ‘No!’,” Kate adds.

She also talks about her favorite cocktail and how she never imagined any other life for herself than the one she ended up living.

“I was, like, a child when I started. I was 14. If it hadn’t happened, I don’t know what would have happened to me. I would be in Croyden [the neighborhood south of London where she grew up], working in a bar, probably. I wanted to be at the center of things. I love working with creative people, and there was none of that where I came from. As soon as I was given a chance I took it,” she says.

Playboy promises that the full spread will be as iconic as the outfit Kate has on. If that’s really the case, half the world will probably be grateful Kate never thought of becoming something else than a model.
