The media has begun its hounding of Duchess of Cambridge, Kate Middleton, in the hopes of catching the first glimpse of her baby bump. The royal couple is still fresh from announcing their second pregnancy, but the buzz is already there, as Brits are now taking bets on the name and gender of the baby.

The royal couple seem undisturbed by the media frenzy surrounding them and have stepped out for a quiet dinner date on Thursday, September 11. Radar has what it claims to be the only photo of the outing and it points out to a small baby bump on Kate's mid section.

Kate goes out for dinner with William, doesn't look pregnant

It has to be said that the thin Kate doesn't look pregnant yet, but looking back at her first pregnancy pictures, you realize that she will only show the bump much later, towards her last trimester. But that doesn't mean that the paparazzi will stop shooting her, hoping for a favorable angle in which the bump is visible.

The photo was taken outside the King's Head pub in Great Bircham at around 19:45 in the evening. A source told the tabloid that locals were surprised to see the royal couple come in for a quiet dinner, despite the fact that they know they own a home nearby, the Anmer Hall.

The couple stunned locals by showing up at a small pub

The couple was joined on their impromptu date by four Royal Protection Squad Officers, although they tried to stay out of sight. The couple had freshwater fish and roasted vegetables and a vanilla ice cream. While Kate drank water, William opted for a glass of red wine.

The eyewitness claims that despite their best efforts, the royal couple couldn't escape the attention, “Towards the end of the meal, a couple of stunned locals introduced themselves to the royal couple and shook their hands.”

Kate's thin frame has been explained by experts as being connected with her reported extreme morning sickness bouts, which can lead to a loss of appetite and also a drop in body weight. Of course, since there is no official report from her doctor, this is mere speculation. Let's keep in mind that Kate was thin during her first pregnancy as well.

The royal couple is getting a nanny for the second baby

Yesterday, it was reported that the couple was keen to break tradition and hire a full-time nanny for their second baby. Back when Prince George was born, they chose to distance themselves from the custom of having a royal nanny, and opted for a part-time assistant on rare occasions.

Reports claim that Prince George was being a bit of a handful, and the tired parents are now considering getting an extra pair of hands around the house to allow them to focus on their social duties.
