Some time before her wedding to husband of just 72 days Kris Humphries, there were a lot of comparisons in the US media between Kim Kardashian and Kate Middleton, the Duchess of Cambridge. Kate just snubbed Kim on her most recent trip to London, it has emerged.
Word has it that the reality star has nothing but admiration and respect for Kate, even thinking that she would one day wear items from her and her sisters’ new clothing line.
In fact, the
National Enquirer writes, on her latest trip to London, Kim even made sure Kate got several items from their new British line, along with an invitation to meet, not necessarily officially.
Kim got turned down big time, the tab says, citing unnamed sources close to the situation.
“Buckingham Palace sent back a not-so-diplomatic answer – GET REAL!” the tab writes.
The diss almost literally broke Kim’s heart because she was counting on a visit from Kate, especially since her beau Kanye West has already met Kate’s husband, Prince William.
“Kim wasn’t happy because she’s obsessed with Kate, but the Duchess of Cambridge has no interest in becoming part of the Kardashian publicity machine,” a tipster dishes.
“Kate can’t stand their style, and from what she knows about their TV show, it’s just a bunch of trashy people primping and yelling at each other. She’s far too polite to diss Kim to her face, but she’s got enough on her plate without having tea with someone like her,” the insider goes on to say.
As for Kim’s hopes that she might get to see Kate Middleton some day in a Kardashian outfit, it’s never going to happen, another source says.
First of all, it’s not “proper” for the Duchess to be seen as endorsing one particular brand. Secondly, no Kardashian outfit is proper for a Duchess no matter how popular they are.
“Kate is hardly going to turn up for an event with the queen in a cheap leopard-print miniskirt or gold sequined jacket!” says the spy.
