Kate Major Accuses Michael Lohan of Domestic Violence

As his estranged daughter, Lindsay Lohan, was shipped to jail to begin serving her 90-day sentence, Michael Lohan also found himself in the crossfire – at the hands of his fiancée nonetheless, Kate Major, once known as Kate 2.0 in the media. The former tabloid editor has filed a domestic violence claim against Lohan, saying he got physical with her just recently. He, on the other hand, is insisting she’s out for his money, TMZ reports.

Kate Major got engaged to Mr. Lohan in April this year, but that’s why she’s a household name with the glossies. In the aftermath of the Gosselin scandal, when Jon Gosselin claimed his wife, Kate, was using their 8 children for her own profit, and when he was revealed to be quite a jerk, she was his mistress for a short while. Later on, Jon befriended Michael and Kate became the latter’s lover, and then fiancée. Somewhere along the way, things have turned violent between the two, she told the police.

Major said in her complaint that, during one altercation, Mr. Lohan shoved her over a chair and then kicked her in the mouth when she was down on the ground. As it’s common knowledge, he did jail time for unrelated crimes, while one of his exes also has a restraining order in his name, after making similar claims of domestic abuse and harassment. Still, Michael is adamant that Kate Major is simply trying to earn a living off his back, which is why she fabricated this story that she’s now trying to sell to the tabloids.

“Michael Lohan tells TMZ... his fiancée is so hard up for cash, she’s invented the domestic violence story to pay the rent. TMZ broke the story... Kate Major filed a complaint with the Southampton Town Police Monday, alleging Michael shoved her over a chair and kicked her in the face during an argument. Lohan acknowledges an argument, but denies even touching her. He says, ‘Kate has severe drinking problems and she’s jealous of all the people involved in the show’,” TMZ writes.

“Lohan is putting together a reality show with a cast that includes Rachel Uchitel and Joslyn James. Michael says of Kate, ‘She has no money, no job and she’s been living off of me for the last 8 months... and her dad just cut her off.’ He claims Kate needs money so bad, she would stoop to creating a false story. Kate could not be reached for comment,” the same media outlet further informs.
