Kate Gosselin and partner Tony Dovolani say goodbye to Dancing With the Stars after 5 weeks

After struggling with her steps and constantly arguing with her dance partner Tony Dovolani for several weeks, Kate Gosselin has finally been voted off ABC’s highly popular show, Dancing With the Stars. Chocking on tears, Gosselin did not forget to thank the fans who kept her on for this long, especially when it was clear from the start that she did not really belong there, as an ABC News report can confirm.

As viewers must know by now, Kate had a very hard time on the show, and her lack of dancing skills was only a part of the problem, since she also had some issues getting on the same wavelength as Tony. She was also constantly showered with negative criticism from the judges and many viewers at home, who wondered out loud on dedicated forums that she’d lasted this long. In the end, they finally got to see Kate go.

“Reality TV mom-of-eight Kate Gosselin was finally voted off Dancing With the Stars on Tuesday after five weeks of arguments with her partner and harsh criticism of her robotic style. Gosselin had scored just 15 out of 30 possible marks for a stiff foxtrot this week to ‘Don’t You (Forget About Me)’ – a performance that judge Bruno Tolini described as ‘catatonic’ and more deserving of a post-mortem than a serious critique. But after being saved by the public several times, the viewer vote this week put the former nurse bottom of the pile,” ABC writes.

“‘You are one tough cookie and you are no quitter,’ judge Carrie Ann Inaba told a tearful Gosselin. ‘Thank you for believing in me, probably more than I believed in myself,’ Gosselin told the voters, apologizing for being a ‘cry baby.’ […] On Dancing With the Stars, Gosselin showed little natural talent for fancy footwork and argued repeatedly with her professional dancing partner Tony Dovolani, who at one point threatened to quit the show. Dancing With the Stars, now in its 10th season, is the second most-watched TV show in the United States with about 20 million viewers,” the same report further reads.

The other day, we told you that television host George Lopez had launched a campaign to support and keep Kate Gosselin on Dancing With the Stars. The “Keep Kate” campaign urged fans to keep voting for her to stay on the show, and it did so saying that it was all for her eight children.
