Whether it’s for good or for worse, for some reason or another, people can’t seem to get enough of Kate Gosselin. Though according to many, her claim to fame has long ceased to exist, about the time when TLC canceled her reality show “Jon & Kate Plus 8,” People magazine proved just recently that she was far from done, giving her a fabulous makeover that sees her again with long hair.

As TMZ can confirm, the other day, paparazzi from all US agencies and not only, got their first chance to see Kate’s new hair as she stepped out to run some errands. Of course, the world got to catch a glimpse of the new ‘do thanks to People, but this is literally the first time Kate is seen as she literally is now, meaning, without good lighting and Photoshop.

TMZ, for one, is none too pleased with the result of $7,000 and 20 hours of continuous work, saying that, if anything, Kate is now just another blonde in Tinseltown. “America’s favorite divorced mother of eight, Kate Gosselin, has traded in her trademark highlighted bi-level reverse mullet Midwest raccoon weave for polyester extensions which make her look like 9 out of 10 other blondes in Hollywood. The 34-year-old showed off her camera-ready new ‘do while out and about in Pennsylvania this weekend,” the paparazzi agency and celebrity gossip website writes.

However, this doesn’t go for all those who’ve seen Kate transformed from a short-haired woman to a long-haired one. Ted Gibson, the stylist who helped her see her wildest dreams come true (those of having long hair again without having to wait for it to grow back), for instance, was saying that she looked positively fabulous with the new ‘do. Getting her to give up her trademark short ‘do, with the longer lock of hair in front, was the hardest part to do, Gibson revealed the other day, as we also told you at the time.

“I wanted to make sure I took her from being really ordinary to really extraordinary! I used everything from my line Ted Gibson: the Build It blow drying spray, the Hair Sheet styling, which is a towelette for hair that has UV absorber in it. It has vitamins A, D and E and has antioxidants and it’s great for traveling. Any time she feels like she has fly-aways or needs a little break this is a perfect product for her,” Gibson was saying.

Still, it doesn't look like hair extensions will bring happiness to Kate as seen in this picture. A new makeover might make you look fresher, lighter but she still has to deal with being divorced, failed marriage and eight little one's who are feeling the fall out.
I see so much about Kate, the impact of the divorce for Kate, moving forward in a new year for Kate. What has happened with those precious little bundles that bought HER fame. Kicked to the wayside since they have no "up the ladder" function. This is one of the saddest stories I've ever seen. Had the show had it's natural attrition to end without all the sensationalism around the private lives of Kate and her ex husband, we wouldn't be so interested with Kate's hair.
Think about it, Kate's hair trumps Kate's ultimate family responsibilities. How can anyone support this young women in good consciousness...
