Having her as blogger isn’t working out as planned, CouponCabin CEO says

You win some, you lose some. Kate Gosselin, the “original Octomom” as the media sometimes calls her, has just been fired from her job as blogger for CouponCabin, the company’s CEO confirms for E! News.

Kate got started on the job with much fanfare at the end of last year, with all eyes in the media on her. At the time, she said blogging about coupons was just the job for her because it suited her like a glove.

Turns out, it didn’t.

“A series of recent events have made it clear” that Gosselin’s contributions as a blogger “do not align with the authenticity that we set out to build almost a decade ago,” company CEO Scott Kluth says.

It’s precisely his choice of words in making the announcement about the end of the collaboration that’s making people online say that she’s been fired because she’s too high maintenance to actually cut a believable figure as a coupon person.

“Ms. Gosselin is simply not a good fit with the wonderful team and culture at CouponCabin,” Kluth further says.

Reaction to Gosselin’s blogging activity, which has been mixed at best, may have also played a part in the decision, the CEO hints.

Nevertheless, “We wish Kate, her family and her support staff all the best,” he adds in the same statement.

Gosselin is yet to comment on this, E! notes but, on her Twitter feed, she’s already hinted that she’s working on something new so chances are that she’s not exactly crying over spilt milk here.

“I'm alive!I've been super busy working away! I'm having lots of fun and can't wait to share! No worries..we will chat soon! XO” Kate tweeted.

Whether she’s talking about her new reality series is yet to be determined.

As she told Katie Couric a couple of days ago, she’s about to start working on a dating reality show which will hopefully kill two birds with a stone: keep the cash flowing in and land her a man, because she’s too busy being a working mom to go out on normal dates.
