Kate Gosselin’s life just got a bit more complicated the other week, when she was busted for speeding in Adams County, Pennsylvania. A police officer confirms for
TMZ that Gosselin was driving at 70 miles per hour in a 55 mile zone, as well as that all the children were with her in the car when she was pulled over.
“Kate Gosselin was speeding in her SUV with the kids on board last Thursday, according to a Pennsylvania trooper who spoke with TMZ. We’re told she was going 15 miles over the posted speed limit... we’re told she was going about 70 MPH. Gosselin was cited and already paid the $109.50 fine,” TMZ writes of the incident which, luckily, only resulted in a fine.
A spokesperson for the mother of eight was not immediately available for comment when reports of the bust surfaced in the media. Last time anything official came from camp Kate was on the occasion of Jon Gosselin’s returning the money he had unlawfully taken from the joint bank account, as we also reported at that point. Back then, a statement said that
she was “pleased” her estranged husband had obeyed the arbitrator’s recommendation and made good on his promise of returning the money.
“We are clearly pleased that the monies taken by Mr. Gosselin have been returned to the marital account, and we look forward to recouping additional monies taken by Mr. Gosselin at the time of the parties’ private arbitration hearings. A total of at least $235,000 was taken by Mr. Gosselin, and despite his initial comments denying responsibility, we have established that Ms. Gosselin needed emergency relief to prevent her economic claims from being compromised,” a statement to the same media outlet said at the time.
As fans know, Jon and Kate Gosselin have long been entangled in a bitter
exchange of words in the media. Simultaneously, they have also been feuding over financial issues, with both sides accusing the other of illegally and secretly stashing away money, money that they should have split.
