Whatever Kate Gosselin does – and even at those times when she does absolutely nothing at all –, she’s bound to get a lot of
media attention for it. Just recently, word in the blogosphere had it that she was about to start shooting for
a dating reality show, an idea that sent many in a flurry for various reasons.
Radar Online caught up with her and asked her about that.
Paparazzi have always flocked around Kate especially if she’s out grocery shopping, which means they have more time to ask her questions while she’s loading stuff in her car. This time was no exception, and the paps asked her whether the rumor about her preparing to do a dating reality show was true and how she’d comment on it. Of course, it’s completely false and ridiculous, she said – but that’s not where her statement was surprising.
“Reality television’s most famous mom Kate Gosselin answered some hot topic questions as she loaded up the back of her minivan with goodies from Whole Foods in Reading, Pennsylvania, over the weekend. When asked about rumors that she’s getting a dating show, Gosselin was coy, artfully dodging the question with her response: ‘It’s furious... I really... everybody... they’re just all talking about it and I haven’t said anything’,” Radar writes after talking to Mrs. Gosselin.
“Gosselin, who showed off her toned and tanned figure in a navy blue skirt, then said (possibly with a hint of sarcasm): ‘I am lonely and I do need help... and I’m not mean like everyone says I am.’ The employee helping Kate agreed on the last part, calling her funny – a compliment which caused Kate to break into a huge smile,” the report further says. Though she may have been joking about the being lonely part, it wouldn’t be the first time that she says something like that – which makes many incline to believe that she was actually pretty serious about it.
In May this year, for instance, when she wrote on her official TLC blog about how she was re-adjusting to life without Dancing With the Stars, Kate said that she often found herself trapped in a very chaotic life where she didn’t know what to do anymore to make things better again. Also then, she literally
asked for help raising her 8 children, though that was more of a rhetoric plea, if there ever was such a thing.
