That didn’t last long: after a brief reconciliation, Kat Von D and Jesse James have again called it quits. In a new post on her Facebook page, the celebrity tattoo artist says that she’s not in a relationship – but doesn’t explain what went wrong with Jesse for the second time.

The two got engaged earlier this year and were supposed to tie the knot this summer. Instead, they broke up in July, right before the premiere of a new season of Kat’s show “LA Ink.”

However, in August, somehow out of the blue, they were back together, saying on their respective Twitter pages that, this time, they were in it “para siempre,” determined to make their relationship work.

As it turns out, they didn’t stay together for long. In the blog post, Kat takes the time to address ongoing rumors in the hope of setting the record straight and one of the topics she approaches is that of her reconciliation to Jesse.

“I am not in any way moving to Texas. I am not opening up another tattoo shop. And I am not leaving my shop here in Los Angeles, High Voltage Tattoo,” she says in reference to talk that she was considering moving to Texas with James.

The first time they broke up, he said it was because of the distance: one in LA and the other in Texas, they would only see each other every other weekend or so and it inevitably took a toll on their romance.

“I am not in a relationship. (And I apologize for all the ‘back and forth’ if it’s caused any confusion),” Kat further writes.

As such, she has no plans to close up shop in LA to move someplace else.

Because Kat and Jesse broke up before the season premiere of her reality series and then surprisingly reconciled after the opening episode, there’s been a lot of talk that the first breakup was a PR stunt to boost interest in the show.

If so, it was a failed PR stunt because TLC canceled “LA Ink.”
