There is such a thing as too much love: just ask Kat Von D. The celebrity tattoo artist and television personality is taking matters to court and asking a judge to grant her a restraining order against a crazed fan who has been stalking her.

According to Kat, the fan has been harassing her for months, including on social media and in person, whenever he got the chance, TMZ reports.

She felt she was left with no other option but to ask a judge to bar him from ever coming close to her.

“Kat just filed her request for the stay-away order in L.A. County Superior Court, claiming a man named Michael Nunn has been contacting her relentlessly on Twitter – talking about her personal business and even posting her home phone number on the web,” TMZ reports.

“Kat says she's had multiple close encounters with Nunn over the last seven months – first in April, when he showed up at her house and called her phone, and again in June at a public event,” the same media outlet writes.

In court documents, Kat says that Nunn continued to send her “scary” messages on Twitter, and she explains his erratic behavior as a result of his “delusional and paranoid tendencies, including the belief that the FBI is watching him.”

A judge sided with her on this after analyzing all the pieces of evidence brought to his attention, and has ruled that Nunn can’t come closer to Kat than 100 yards while a temporary restraining order is in effect.

Whether it will be made permanent will be determined at another court hearing that will take place this month.

As one may imagine, Kat isn’t the only celebrity having had to deal with this type of “fans” in recent months. Just a short while ago, Miley Cyrus too was forced to ask for a restraining order against one such fan, who even broke into her home when she was not there.
