Kat Von D ad Jesse James were once engaged to be married and so convinced their love would last she even got a tattoo of his child portrait on her ribcage. She’s now having it removed, as she’s proudly announced her fans on Twitter.

After the rather nasty breakup from Jesse James, Kat said in an interview she would not remove the tattoo (even if it was deemed on the creepy side by many), saying it stood for a time when she was happy.

Clearly, she’s had a change of heart: she’s been tweeting about getting one of her many tattoos lasered off and even included photos of the procedure.

Two of these photos are also attached to this article.

“On a lighter note, I get to start the day off with some good ol' tattoo laser removal! #ouchville #sillytattoos #creatingjobs :)” Kat first teased on Twitter.

“AND SO IT BEGINS! First round of tattoo removal well underway! :)” she wrote a while later.

Come to think of it, it makes sense for her to want to erase all traces of the failed relationship from her life (her body included), especially considering that the breakup wasn’t done on the most amicable terms possible.

Moreover, both she and Jesse have moved on: she’s been dating (on and off) DJ Deadmau5, and he’s already engaged to be married.

The future Mrs. Jesse James is drag racer Alexis DeJoria, whom he’s been dating for only a couple of months, give or take a few weeks, as we also informed you some time ago.

Kat, on the other hand, has been in a very public romance with the DJ. They broke up one month ago, including on Twitter, but were seen kissing in public again less than one week later.

At this point, it’s safe to assume Kat might be getting a Deadmau5 tattoo soon.
